About Sarah

For many years, Sarah was a Recommended Associate of Intelligent Horsemanship working with horses and their owners to overcome behavioural problems and to train the horse in the most sympathetic and effective way possible.

Based in the New Forest, covering Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight, Sarah has over 30 years equine experience and has always been considered to have “a way” with horses.

Her book, No Fear, No Force, is considered to be the leading book on how to train a wild or unhandled foal and has been used to train older horses too.

Sarah stopped working as a horse trainer in May 2017.

In collaboration with BARTA and Intelligent Horsemanship, Sarah has carried out an investigation into the causes, effects, and circumstances of incidents and accidents in the transportation of horses by road.

As a result of this study, Sarah developed Bar Buffers to improve the safety and comfort of horses when travelling.

She has now written the first part of her autobiography,From Sober Dress to Sturdy Boots“. It describes in fascinating and witty detail, Sarah’s transformation from lawyer to horse-trainer, and the characters that she has met, both two-legged and four. If you are interested in the law courts, horses, ponies or the New Forest, then you are in for a treat!
