About Us

LoaderThe ponies that Sarah takes in for starting are soon venturing out into the Forest where they learn to enjoy being ridden rather than being confined solely to working in manèges or fields. In this environment they learn to accept the varied things they meet as normal. Visiting ponies live out, benefiting from the fresh air and movement which adds to the relaxed learning atmosphere.

Sarah travels to horses in Hampshire, Wiltshire and Dorset to help people with their horses at home. Clinics can also be set up for up to four horses at a time. In the first session Sarah will assess a horse and start work, providing a full follow-up report with recommendations as to how a problem might be approached. Over the last four years, Sarah has worked with over 500 horses and ponies.

Sarah also helps the Exmoor Pony Charity the Moorland Mousie Trust by handling the untouched Exmoor colts so that they can go out to foster homes. In the autumn Sarah runs courses on Handling the Wild Pony at the Exmoor Pony Centre. She now runs similar courses in the New Forest for people interested in working with the New Forest ponies.
